MEIA-NAU RESTAURANT

 

Anyone who enters Meia-Nau, opened in May 2019 in a former workshop on Rua Heróis de França, finds an elegant and informal atmosphere. It is summed up as “a fine fish shop”.

Employees serveshirt and tie tables, and the space is decorated with white tiles on the walls, an allusion to fishmongers.

There are no tablecloths on the wooden tables and some black lamps resemble fishing rods, while others are a steel recreation of the mesh of octopus fishing nets.

But the most striking “detail” is suspended from the ceiling – a white sailboat from 1930, used by Mocidade Portuguesa in naval schools.

In June 2021, the twin house opened, with the same concept and menu, but in the center of Porto, on Travessa de Cedofeita.
